As models young enough to be Andie MacDowell‘s grandkids strutted their stuff on the runways at Paris Fashion Week, the actress and longtime global ambassador for L’Oreal turned heads everywhere she went.

Videos are going viral of the 68-year-old dynamo, who recently wrapped the fourth and final season of Hallmark Channel‘s beloved series The Way Home. Social media is wild over MacDowell for not only looking gorgeous, but exuding such a care-free, joyful vibe.

One video from Monday, September 28, taken by Vanity Fair France during a rehearsal for L’Oreal’s runway event, is making the rounds on social media, featuring MacDowell — looking chic and relaxed, with curlers in her hair — chatting with fellow Hollywood powerhouses Jane Fonda, 88, and Viola Davis, 61.

Seeing the three icons sitting together was spectacular on its own, but notes about MacDowell’s laid-back vibe ruled the comment sections on each post. One that was liked by hundreds of others on Instagram said, “First of all, (Andie) McDowell sitting there in her curlers is the best thing I’ve seen in years”

Another wrote, “I want to be in on this conversation and I love that Ms. McDowell has curlers in her hair!” Someone else gushed, “Andie’s curlers are sending me to the moon.”

A second video of MacDowell from Paris Match has been shared widely on X (formerly Twitter), showing the actress, still in her curlers, admiring the boots Thai actress and singer Becky Armstrong was wearing. Many fans adorably tried to alert Armstrong that she was among Hollywood royalty.

One fan tweeted, “Damn Rebecca Patricia – THAT IS THEE ANDIEMACDOWELL 😭😭” and another exclaimed, “Rebecca Patricia, you’ve officially entered another league. Like… THAT IS ANDIE MACDOWELL 😭😭”

Once the curlers were out, MacDowell’s normally curly gray hair had a beautiful soft wave. The Groundhog Day alum slipped into a white sheath gown, looking gorgeous for L’Oreal Paris’ Know Your Worth event, which featured a public runway show “celebrating women’s empowerment, inclusivity, freedom, confidence and sisterhood.”

Among the celebrities who walked the runway were MacDowell’s pals Fonda and Davis, as well as Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner, Eva Longoria, and Kristen Bell. But MacDowell stole the show there, too.

She had so much fun walking the runway, those who watched online said MacDowell’s joy was contagious as she blew kisses to the crowd and drew a big air heart with her fingers before heading back to the stage.

One wrote of MacDowell, “Beauty really knows no age, because a woman’s aura is her true attractiveness 🤩😍”

At the end of the night, MacDowell held her own next to Jenner, 30, grooving to the music as all of the women took one last walk on the runway together.

Fans celebrated her inspiring confidence, including one who wrote, “There has always been something about her that makes you feel that she is truly capable of loving deeply and being wonderfully caring.so beautiful”

When Celine Dion made a surprise appearance to sing her song Alive, MacDowell looked absolutely giddy, outstretching her arms and telling her how happy she was to see her, and even squealing, “I love you!”

While many women feel less beautiful and bold as they age, MacDowell has become a vocal advocate of living fully at any age. While in Paris, MacDowell, who shares three grown kids with ex-husband Paul Qualley — actress Margaret Qualley, model and actress Rainey Qualley, and real estate agent Justin Qualley — was asked by WWD what advice she’d give to her younger self.

“It’s all gonna work out,” MacDowell sweetly responded. “It’s gonna hurt, there’s gonna be things that’ll hurt. You’re gonna win, you’re gonna lose, you fall down, you get up. I guess the best advice for anyone is to take your losses and your wins with the same amount of compassion and understanding.”

MacDowell has many new acting projects in the works, but her next role is in Hallmark Channel’s “A Grand Biltmore Christmas,” filmed at the historic Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. The movie premieres on Saturday, December 5 at 8 p.m. ET and will be available to stream via Hallmark+ the next day.
