Taylor Sheridan’s latest drama, The Madison, features messy relationship dynamics, but in real life, the cast’s love lives are sweeter.
The Paramount+ show, which premiered on March 14, centers on a New York City family as they begin a new chapter in Montana’s Madison River valley following a devastating tragedy. It’s led by Michelle Pfeiffer, who plays the family’s matriarch, and also stars Kurt Russell, Patrick J. Adams, Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman and Matthew Fox, among others.
The Western drama was originally billed as a Yellowstone spinoff, but it now stands on its own and tells a separate story.
Off-screen, several of the cast members are in happy, long-term relationships and have families of their own. Here's everything to know about the real-life loves of The Madison cast.

Pfeiffer plays Stacy Clyburn, the grieving matriarch at the center of The Madison. In real life, the Scarface star has been married to TV writer David E. Kelley since 1993.
She and Kelley met on a blind date in January 1993 and instantly hit off, with them marrying that November.
At the time, Pfeiffer was already in the process of welcoming her daughter, Claudia, via adoption and seeing Kelley as a father made her even more certain about him.
“We had this child with us right away, and most people don't have that. But I really got to see [Kelley] in a situation that certainly would separate the boys from the men. Obviously, he really rose to the occasion," she told Good Housekeeping in July 2007.
Pfeiffer continued, "We both got to see each other as parents before we progressed in our relationship together and, in a strange way, it took the pressure off, as a couple."
They went on to welcome their son, John, in August 1994.

Russell, who portrays Stacy’s husband, Preston Clyburn, has been in a relationship with fellow actress Goldie Hawn for decades, although they have famously never married.
The power couple first met while filming the 1968 Disney live-action musical The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band. They reconnected nearly two decades later on the set of Swing Shift and began dating.
At the time, Hawn was a single mom to daughter Kate Hudson and son Oliver Hudson, while Russell had a son, Boston Russell, from a previous relationship. The pair later welcomed a son together, Wyatt Russell.
Similarly to Pfeiffer’s real-life love story, Russell and Hawn’s bond was cemented by family from the beginning. In a May 2017 interview with PEOPLE, Hawn shared that she truly fell for Russell when she saw the way he treated her kids.
“What really got me was when I watched my kids when they’d come to the set and how he was with them. He was amazing with them. He was such a natural,” she explained.

Garrett steps into Sheridan’s fictional universe as Abigail Reese, Stacy’s oldest daughter and a recently divorced mother of two. While her love life on the show may be struggling, Garrett is newly married off-screen.
She and her longtime partner, Shane Richards, whom she shares a son with, wed in September 2025 while she was on location for The Madison. (Season 2 of the show filmed that fall, Deadline reported.)
The nuptials were held at The Lodge At Heritage Ranch in Bozeman, Mont., and she marked the occasion on Instagram, writing alongside a series of photos from the day, “9/06/2025 Hitched. Officially. Surrounded by the closest of friends and family. My feet still hurt and my bucket is full.”

Adams plays Paige’s husband, Russell McIntosh, a wealthy New York City investment banker. Like his character, Adams is also married, though his real-life romance is much different than that of his character’s.
He and actress Troian Bellisario have been married since 2016 and share three children.

Fox, who portrays Preston’s brother Paul Clyburn, is also in a long-term relationship. He and his wife, Margherita Ronchi, have been married for years and share two kids.
The Lost alum is private when it comes to his personal life and even stepped away from Hollywood to spend more time with his family.
“I left for a while. It was just sort of a time in my life where I wanted to focus on family,” he told CBS News in March 2026. “The kids were at ages where I felt it was important to re-engage with their lives. I missed some of that with all of the work of Lost and some of the films after that.”
He went on to explain that The Madison was worth returning for.
“Getting that call from Taylor and then reading the scripts, I felt compelled to do it,” he said. “It’s not a decision that gets made, it just feels like ‘I should be the one to do this.’ ”

Will Arnett has a recurring guest role on the show as Phil Yorn, Stacy’s therapist. Off-screen, he is dating model Carolyn Murphy. The pair went public with their romance in October 2025 at the London premiere of his movie, Is This Thing On?.
A month later, the comedian shared some insight into his new relationship, telling PEOPLE, “I think that there's just an ease from the moment that we started hanging out … We have a real ease with each other and she's just such a generous-of-spirit person, and that's what I love. One of the many things that I love about her."
