Insiders cited by RadarOnline claim Kate Middleton feels uneasy about the Sussexes potentially increasing their presence in the U.K. again. A source alleged that the Princess believes King Charles has not taken a “definitive stance” on boundaries regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s ties to the royal family.

The insider claimed Middleton has “felt knifed in the back” by what she sees as mixed signals from the monarch. From her perspective, the situation required clearer direction from the top, the source adds. “As someone who knows she will one day be queen, Kate expected stronger backing and clearer signals behind the scenes about how the family should move forward,” the insider alleged.

Sources say tensions partly stem from lingering resentment over Prince Harry’s memoir “Spare” and his public criticism of the monarchy. According to the insider, the emotional impact of those moments has not faded for the Princess of Wales. “For Kate, the emotional impact of everything that was said publicly hasn’t faded with time,” the source claimed. “She still feels the damage done during that period.”
