Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay turned a war of words into a physical confrontation on the July 29 edition of AEW Dynamite, adding another emotional chapter to their rivalry ahead of AEW All In at Wembley Stadium.
The face-to-face segment revisited the fallout from Redemption, where trust between the two appeared to shatter.
Although the exchange began with both men holding microphones, it didn’t stay a verbal contest for long.

Tony Schiavone welcomed Omega to the ring for a statement, but Ospreay interrupted before the AEW World Champion could get very far. Omega explained that what he wanted to say was personal, reflecting on their friendship and accusing Ospreay of betraying his trust.
At Redemption, Ospreay refused Jon Moxley’s order to suffocate Omega with a plastic bag, tearing it apart instead. However, Omega revealed he viewed the situation differently. He claimed that after enduring the Death Riders’ assault, he looked up to see Ospreay standing over him with the championship and the torn plastic bag nearby, leading him to believe his challenger had played a role in setting the trap.
When Ospreay denied the accusation, Omega snapped.

The champion repeatedly slapped Ospreay across the face, telling him he would always be “a step behind.” After absorbing several strikes, Ospreay finally answered with a thunderous slap of his own and teased delivering the Hidden Blade before Omega wisely backed away. Sometimes the loudest promo doesn’t need a microphone — just an open hand.
Ospreay then delivered an emotional response, admitting he had lost confidence following his neck injury and briefly found purpose within the Death Riders before rejecting Jon Moxley’s methods.
Looking directly at Omega, Ospreay promised he would become world champion the right way.
“You’re damn right I can pull the trigger… I’m gonna pull the trigger when it matters the most, and when I pull that trigger, Kenny will see it coming.”
With emotions boiling over and trust completely broken, the road to All In has become even more personal. The stage is now set for the AEW World Championship clash, where both men will look to settle far more than just who leaves with the gold.
