Megan Moroney told fans in a Stationhead livestream that she did her own stunts for the "Wish I Didn't" music video

"I probably had a concussion over it, but anything for the music video," she said

Megan Moroney tapped into her inner daredevil for her latest music video.

Following the release of her action-packed "Wish I Didn't" music video on Friday, Jan. 16, the country singer hopped on a Stationhead livestream with fans to discuss the filming process — and revealed she didn't make it out without a few scratches.

“Guys, the bruises on my knees after the fight scene… It was wild," she began, according to a fan-recorded video of the livestream. "Knees were black. It was the end of the day, and we literally only did it twice because I was exhausted."

"But yeah, we had a stunt coordinator and everything. I need to show y’all the plate getting smashed over my head," the "Tennessee Orange" singer, 28, added. "Yeah, I probably had a concussion over it, but anything for the music video."

In the music video, which was inspired by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's 2005 film Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Moroney tapped Dylan Efron to play her opposite.

According to a press release, the visual captures Moroney and Efron, 33, playing a "seemingly perfect married couple living secret double lives as competing assassins."

Picking up where Moroney's Cloud 9 tracklist reveal video left off, the video features sweet moments of Moroney and Efron playing husband and wife — and doing their jobs as spies behind each other's backs. By the end of the video, the pair launches into a full-blown fight scene at the dinner table where they throw each other around and smash items on each other's heads.

On Instagram, Efron shared behind-the-scenes footage of the music video. In a video featured in the carousel, Moroney ran to tackle him and they rolled over a couch as they continued to fight.

Efron captioned the post: "she does her own stunts."

"Wish I Didn't" is Moroney's latest release from her forthcoming album Cloud 9.

In a PEOPLE StyleWatch digital cover story in November, Moroney said this was "the most excited I've been about an album release."

The "Am I Okay?" singer said the album was "written from a perspective where my feet are really planted."

"I feel really confident with where I'm at in my life and who's around me,” she said, calling Cloud 9 her “favorite child."

"This is my best foot forward for where I'm at, and if you don't like it, then you just don't like my music, and that's okay, because I really love it, and I'm the one that's got to get up there and sing it every night," she added.

Cloud 9 is out Feb. 20.
