Rams will travel 2nd-most miles of any team in 2026

Keeping up with tradition, the Los Angeles Rams will once again be a well-traveled team in 2026. It’s one of the pitfalls of being a West Coast team.

Seemingly every year, the Rams are among the teams that will travel the most air miles in the NFL because of how few franchises there are in the Mountain and Pacific Time Zones. Mix in an international game in Australia, and it’s a recipe for some serious air miles.

Bill Speros of Bookies.com calculated every team’s air miles for 2026 ahead of Thursday’s schedule release, and the Rams are second on the list. They’re set to fly 34,847 miles this season, fewer than only the San Francisco 49ers (38,105).

To put that number into perspective, the Carolina Panthers will only travel 8,740 miles, the fewest in the league.

This season, the Rams have a trip to Australia, as well as flights to the East Coast to take on the Eagles, Commanders and Buccaneers. That's actually more manageable than last year, when they were on the road against the Titans, Eagles, Ravens, Panthers and Falcons – as well as a trip to London to face the Jaguars.

Last season, their estimated air miles were 34,832, also second in the NFL. So they traveled more miles a season ago without a trip to Australia. Staying in Baltimore before going to London lessened the mileage, though.
