Sharon Stone is mourning the lost of her brother Michael.

The *Casino *actress announced that her brother had died in an Instagram post on May 13 with a simple yet poignant note. "Mike Stone, My oldest brother, Has passed away. Following an extended illness. We wish him peace," she wrote. He was 74.

Like Sharon, Michael was an actor. He made his first on-screen appearance in 1990 in the film *End of the Night*. His credits include *The Quick and the Dead *(which also starred Sharon), *Eraser, Malevolence*, the television series *CSI: Miami*, and the short film *Renaissance Man*. Michael also had a three-episode arc on the soap opera *The Bold and the Beautiful *in 2000.

His final film appearance was in the 2022 movie *Destinos Opostos.*

Michael was born to Joe and Dorothy and raised in Meadville, Pa., per PEOPLE. He was the oldest of the Stone siblings, which included Sharon, brother Patrick, and sister Kelly.

He was briefly engaged to English socialite Tamara Beckwith in 1994, but they broke up the following year.

Michael and Sharon attended the 1994 Vanity Fair Oscar Party and the 66th Academy Awards together ahead of *The Quick and the Dead*'s release in 1995. They also attended the GUCCI 2007 Holiday Campaign to Benefit UNICEF at Gucci's Beverly Hills store in 2007 with Kelly.**

Though he had an Instagram account, Michael wasn't very active. His last post in December 2019 alluded to an upcoming project. "I’m so blessed to be working with such incredibly good people. I mean really, really good people. Stay tuned... we’re working on a special project," he wrote at the time. Michael also shared pictures of him and Sharon.**

Sharon's brother Patrick died in 2023 following a heart attack. Michael's death comes after their mother Dorothy died in March 2025 at 91.

Michael is survived by sisters Kelly and Sharon.
