TNA Stars Take Shots At Grayson Waller After WWE NXT Insult

TNA Wrestling’s Moose and Brian Myers are not fans of Grayson Waller insulting their promotion on WWE NXT.

Former WWE Tag Team Champion Grayson Waller made a surprise appearance on the July 28 episode of NXT. Frustrated over the lack of opportunity, he cut a pipe bomb-style promo and took shots at everyone. He targeted his former tag team partner, Austin Theory, the NXT men’s division, Cruz Montona (FKA Mike Santana), and TNA Wrestling.

Waller berated Cruz Montana for thinking he could walk into WWE and get an NXT Championship match straight away. He also aimed an insult at him for being a former TNA World Champion, saying, “It ain’t 2005, lad. Being the top guy in TNA is like being the best basketball player at the local YMCA.”

Cruz Montana shared his reaction to Grayson Waller’s comments on the Busted Open Podcast. Current TNA Wrestling stars Moose and Brian Myers then took to X/Twitter to clap back at the Australian wrestler.

“Bet if he gets fired he will be BEGGING AND PRAYING for a job at the same local YMCA,” Moose replied.

“This really hurts coming from the guy who got sent back to developmental, ouch bro!” Brian Myers wrote.

Before his NXT return, Grayson Waller worked with the New Day on the main roster. However, the alliance ended after Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods departed WWE after refusing to take a pay cut. It will be interesting to see what the promotion has planned for the 36-year-old former tag team champion in the developmental brand.
